Registered Nurse Charge PACU

About the role

Assign, direct, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts; provide valuable input on hiring, training, and development, and assist with or perform staff performance evaluations.

Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute strategic assignments, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and population-appropriate patient care.

Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of patient care across the unit, proactively identifying and resolving issues that impact desired patient outcomes.

Act as a first line of defense by responding to patient care complaints and efficiently managing them through established organizational channels.

Minimum Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required.
• Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• At least 1 year previous charge nurse experience.
• At least 1 year ICU experience.
