RN - Registered Charge Nurse - PACU

Responsibilities

• Being proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.
• Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.
• Developing self and team members and sharing organizational information.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse.

Qualifications

• Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required, RN (Registered Nurse) license is required, ACLS Certification if required by department.
• RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid. Nurse Specialty certification is preferred.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS Healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion.
• Experience: 2 years of RN experience in acute care is required. At least one year of RN experience in PACU, emergency department, or critical care is preferred. 1 year of leadership experience is preferred.
