Job Summary and Qualifications

Captures and coordinates educational opportunities for diabetic patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include needs assessment, goal setting, method implementation, evaluation, and instruction of educational activities. Also involves creating opportunities to enhance the educational function related to diabetes.

Assumes leadership in the role of program coordinator. Assesses and addresses client needs, providing necessary education and resources to assist with diabetes management. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve these goals.

What You Will Do in This Role

  • Maintains and ensures the functionality of simulation- and education-based technologies to minimize downtime.
  • Assesses and resolves equipment failures promptly.
  • Evaluates simulation- and education-based technology results to identify areas for improvement in customer satisfaction and patient experience.
  • Operates and assists with simulators and task trainers during various training sessions.
  • Provides orientation, consultation, and support for simulation laboratory procedures, including the use of materials and operation of equipment.
  • Identifies performance opportunities or training needs related to clinical simulation.
  • Provides coaching, development, and training to improve staff performance.

Qualifications You Will Need

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date (RN).
  • Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) within 12 months of certification eligibility.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
  • No travel required.
  • No experience required.
