Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Role Overview: Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab for adult patients, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality treatment aligned with standards of care. Key Responsibilities Performs as a circulator, scrub, or monitor during procedures.Prepares patients for procedures, ensuring all necessary information is obtained.Uses critical judgment to assess patients, administer medications, and report abnormal findings.Ensures safe hemostasis and manages vascular devices.Enters patient orders and verifies charges for accuracy.Provides care for critically ill patients, functioning independently under stress.Educates patients and families, explaining tests, treatments, and perioperative expectations.Assists families and may perform point-of-care testing.Works safely, performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.At least 1 year of nursing experience, with preferred background in cath labs, ICU, or ED.Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks frequently.Valid professional nursing license and certifications (BLS, ALS, PALS as applicable per state). Additional Details: Requires good communication, critical thinking, and adaptability to high-pressure situations. Maintains alertness and adheres to safety protocols to deliver optimal patient care.
