About the role
The RN - CV assists the Interventional Cardiologist and CV Specialist in providing care for patients undergoing various cardiac and vascular procedures.
Responsibilities
- Implement and perform a cardiac catheterization plan of care using standards of A.O.R.N. aseptic technique, cardiac and peripheral anatomy and physiology, radiographic imaging technique, standards of nursing care, and principles of cardiovascular technology.
- Work on multiple campuses including Saint Luke's East Hospital, Saint Luke's Plaza, Saint Luke's North, and Saint Luke's South Hospitals.
- Respond to calls within 30 minutes when needed.
- Work across all four campuses (East, Plaza, North, South) as needed to meet staffing requirements.
Requirements
- One year of Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- One year of Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- A registered nurse with an associate degree.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work full-time days.
Skills
- Knowledge of A.O.R.N. aseptic technique.
- Understanding of cardiac and peripheral anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with radiographic imaging techniques.
- Compliance with standards of nursing care and principles of cardiovascular technology.
