Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

About the role

The RN - CV assists the Interventional Cardiologist and CV Specialist in providing care for patients undergoing various cardiac and vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement and perform a cardiac catheterization plan of care using standards of A.O.R.N. aseptic technique, cardiac and peripheral anatomy and physiology, radiographic imaging technique, standards of nursing care, and principles of cardiovascular technology.
• Work on multiple campuses including Saint Luke's East Hospital, Saint Luke's Plaza, Saint Luke's North, and Saint Luke's South Hospitals.
• Respond to calls within 30 minutes when needed.
• Work across all four campuses (East, Plaza, North, South) as needed to meet staffing requirements.

Requirements

• One year of Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• One year of Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• A registered nurse with an associate degree.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work full-time days.

Skills

• Knowledge of A.O.R.N. aseptic technique.
• Understanding of cardiac and peripheral anatomy and physiology.
• Experience with radiographic imaging techniques.
• Compliance with standards of nursing care and principles of cardiovascular technology.
