About the role
Join the Cardiovascular Procedure Unit (CPU) team as a registered nurse to provide specialized care for adult patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, PCI/stent placements, electrophysiology, and structural interventions.
- Perform roles as circulator, scrub, or monitor during procedures.
- Prepare patients, ensure accurate documentation, and administer medications as needed.
- Manage critically ill patients independently and provide patient and family education.
- Ensure safety, perform hemostasis, enter orders, and support patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- Valid RN license in the applicable state.
- Certifications in BLS, ALS, PALS (as applicable).
- No prior experience required.
Skills and physical requirements
- Strong critical judgment, communication, and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Constant standing, walking, and use of senses for assessment.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and patient handling.
- Ability to perform point-of-care testing and provide clear patient education.
