About the role
Deliver exceptional, patient-centered nursing care within the operative suite, ensuring safety and comfort for individuals undergoing complex cardiovascular and invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall flow of the operating room by serving as the circulating nurse, closely monitoring patient conditions and communicating updates in real time to protect patient safety.

- Coordinate the surgical field seamlessly by executing both scrub and instrument-handling functions with precision, ensuring the surgical team has exactly what they need when they need it.

- Collaborate closely with physicians and anesthesia teams to assist with line access and intubation, providing critical support during high-stakes moments of the procedure.
- Prepare and optimize the surgical environment by setting up specialized cardiovascular instruments and advanced equipment, ensuring a sterile, efficient, and ready-to-go operating room.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

- Previous OR experience preferred.
