About the role
You will be the subject matter expert of all invasive procedures who prepares patients appropriately according to policy. You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions. You will provide therapeutic services necessary for the care of the patient. You will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.
Shift details
7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (12-hour shifts), weekend schedule.
Unit overview
3 rooms, average 4–6 procedures per day.
Required experience
- Active RN license in Alaska (AK) required
- 3 years of Cath Lab experience, OR 5 years of experience in a high-acuity setting (e.g., ICU)
- Experience circulating, monitoring, and with sedation medication (including mixing sedation drips)
- No mapping experience needed (performed by a third-party company)
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in good standing
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
- Two to three years of Cath Lab experience required
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pay
- $38.79–$42.68 (0–5 years)
- $43.95–$49.25 (6–10 years)
- $49.25–$53.68 (10–15 years)
- $53.68–$56.74 (15–20 years)
Differentials & bonuses
- Evening shift differential: $2.75/hour
- Night shift differential: $4.65/hour
- Weekend shift differential: $2.50/hour
- On-call: $4.50/hour
- Sign-on bonus: $25,000
- Relocation: case by case basis
