Registered Nurse - Cardiology Laboratory

About the role

Join a dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab team as a registered nurse, responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering safe, high-quality care to adult patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform in procedure roles such as circulator, scrub, or monitor, and assist in patient holding and preparation.
• Utilize critical judgment to assess patients, administer medications, and communicate abnormal findings to physicians.
• Ensure safe hemostasis with or without vascular devices, and document orders and charges accurately.
• Care for critically ill patients independently in stressful situations.
• Provide patient and family education, explain tests and procedures, and escort families as needed.
• Perform point of care testing and maintain safety vigilance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Current RN licensure in applicable states, with required certifications including BLS and either ALS or PALS from AHA.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive movements, and utilize senses for patient care.
