Registered Nurse - Cardiology

About the Role

This role involves providing direct nursing care within a cardiology unit featuring telemetry and IMC beds at UAB St. Vincent's East. The unit has 15 telemetry beds and 8 IMC beds, emphasizing teamwork, compassion, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective patient care following organizational policies and protocols.
• Serve as a primary coordinator for patient care across disciplines.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Note and execute physician and nursing orders.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions accurately.
• Assist with discharge planning and ensure proper documentation of orders.

Requirements

• Active nursing license from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire (accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school.
