About the Role
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in ambulatory cardiology. Utilizes the nursing process, technology, and team collaboration to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop individualized care plans involving patients and families
- Coordinate and delegate care, and evaluate patient responses to interventions
- Promote professional development
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Prioritize and triage care
- Perform procedures within scope of practice
- Operate monitors and equipment
- Support patient transfers
- Read labels and assess patient needs
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- Practice-specific certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS)
- Effective communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Ability to navigate busy environments
- Commitment to ongoing competency development
- Adherence to organizational policies
Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Cardiology experience advantageous
- Physical dexterity for handling equipment and assisting with patient mobility
