Registered Nurse - Cardiology

About the Role

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in ambulatory cardiology. Utilizes the nursing process, technology, and team collaboration to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop individualized care plans involving patients and families
• Coordinate and delegate care, and evaluate patient responses to interventions
• Promote professional development
• Adhere to legal and ethical standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Prioritize and triage care
• Perform procedures within scope of practice
• Operate monitors and equipment
• Support patient transfers
• Read labels and assess patient needs
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• Practice-specific certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS)
• Effective communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move heavy items
• Ability to navigate busy environments
• Commitment to ongoing competency development
• Adherence to organizational policies

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Cardiology experience advantageous
• Physical dexterity for handling equipment and assisting with patient mobility
