Registered Nurse - Cardiography/Cardiac Testing - Optional
About the role
This role performs a broad range of advanced cardiac diagnostic procedures, including cardiac stress testing with real-time EKG interpretation, cardiac PET imaging, CT angiography, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and tilt-table testing. The position also supports echocardiography teams through Definity contrast administration, IV insertion and maintenance, and coordination during complex echo studies.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care.
- Delivers safe, high-quality nursing care while maintaining patient dignity, autonomy, and cultural sensitivity.
- Recognizes and responds to emergencies; completes timely, accurate documentation.
- Collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate and update care plans.
- Administers medications and treatments safely; operates equipment according to policy and standards.
- Provides patient and family education to support understanding, recovery, and discharge readiness.
- Oversees delegated tasks and supports team members through training and communication.
- Engages in ongoing professional development and participates in quality-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (Required)
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a Telemetry/Cardiac or ICU setting (Required)
- New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire. (Required)
- Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse licensure required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Must have ACLS or obtain during orientation

The pay for this role is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The work schedule for this role is PRN/Optional 7:00am - 3:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm.
