About the role

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 24-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiac (Stroke) Unit. This unit cares for patients on telemetry monitoring who may require cardiac catheterization, transfer to a heart hospital, or diagnostic tests such as stress tests or echocardiograms. Responsibilities

• Assess and admit patients
• Perform rounding checks
• Administer medications
• Communicate with family members
• Provide overall patient care

Requirements

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• RN-Associate’s Degree, RN-Bachelor’s Degree, RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree

Schedule

• Multiple shifts: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 hours per week

Pay

Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available to qualified candidates.
