About the role

Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Medical Centers’ Administration.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.

Requirements

• NYS RN License Required
• Accredited School of Nursing Graduate
• 1 Year Specialized Experience Required
• BLS and ACLS Required, CCRN/CSC Preferred

Working Conditions

• Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
• Occupational: Significant occupational risk
• Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
• Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
