Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with people, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
Responsibilities
- Manage the episode of patient care in partnership with people, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care.
- Coordinate and supervise patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requirements
- Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
Qualifications
- BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems.
