Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Stepdown unit
Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity care to cardiac and post-surgical patients transitioning from ICU support
- Perform comprehensive assessments and continuous cardiac monitoring
- Administer medications and IV therapies promptly
- Respond quickly to patient condition changes
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care and recovery
- Document all care accurately in the EHR
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced, supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork, ongoing education, and use of advanced technology
Qualifications & Skills
- Nursing licensure with relevant experience in cardiac or stepdown units
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to educate patients and families effectively
- Proficiency with electronic health records
