About the Role

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self. Responsibilities include following established policies and procedures, communicating openly with internal customers and supervisors, and providing excellent customer service to all levels of staff, management, and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required.

Pavilion 9 is a 30-bed cardiac medical/surgical and cardiac intermediate unit. Staff care for complex cardiac patients, including cardiac surgery patients, structural heart (TAVR), cardiac catheterization/coronary angioplasty, heart failure, and other various cardiac processes. Nurses receive specialized training to care for cardiac surgery populations.

Requirements

  • Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)
  • Certain specialties may require advanced certification (e.g., ACLS, NALS, PALS)

Qualifications

  • Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing
