Registered Nurse - Cardiac ICU

Role Summary: The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care in a specialized Cardiac ICU unit, assessing, planning, and executing patient care to promote safety, comfort, and optimal recovery. Responsibilities: Conducts patient assessments and develops individualized care plans, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.Provides direct care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, and evaluates intervention effectiveness.Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams and families for education, discharge planning, and ongoing support.Participates in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice decisions.Troubleshoots equipment issues and contributes to unit decision-making.Supports a compassionate, patient-centered environment and promotes positive patient and family experiences.Engages in professional development and collaborates with nursing leadership. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required).Ability to work in a fast-paced, critical care environment with proficiency in advanced cardiac interventions (ECMO, Ventilators, LVAD, etc.).Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and clinical judgment skills.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning. Additional Details: The role involves rotating shifts, including day/night and weekends, in a unit caring for post-surgical and cardiac patients with advanced technology use, within a Magnet-recognized facility that values diversity, safety, and professional growth.
