Registered Nurse Cardiac CVTU/CVICU

About the role

Provide high-acuity nursing care for medical and surgical patients including those with STEMI, advanced heart failure, and complex transplants to ensure clinical stability and safety.

Manage advanced life support and mechanical assist devices, such as ECMO, VADs and ventilators, to maintain vital organ function and support patient recovery.

Execute and adjust individualized care plans based on continuous monitoring of hemodynamic data and cardiac rhythms to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Lead the coordination of the multidisciplinary team across various specialties to provide a seamless, integrated care experience for complex surgical and transplant patients.

Evaluate and organize comprehensive discharge and transition plans to empower patients and families for a safe, successful recovery after intensive care.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Preferences

• At least one year of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
