Registered Nurse RN Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit CVICU

About the role

Join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Banner Desert Medical Center and be part of our amazing team of professionals. Our state of the art Level 1 Trauma Facility and CVICU specializes in high level care to patients with multiple complex cardiovascular diseases.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, valve repairs, arch repairs, thoracotomies, decortications, abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs, carotid endarterectomies, and vascular bypass within our 7 bed unit.
• Learn advanced skills that include: initial and intermediate continuous renal replacement therapy, intra-aortic balloon pump device therapy, Impella device support therapy, and removal of arterial sheaths.
• Achieve department shared leadership and facility wide committees participation.
• Participate in the Clinical Expert program and receive support for completion of the Critical Care certification.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for certain roles.
• Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.

Additional Information

• Full-time day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) shifts available working three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Utilize self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage.
• Eligibility for the sign-on bonus requires 1+ years of CVICU RN experience with a 2 year commitment.
• New Graduate Nurses with less than 12 months of experience can apply using specific keywords.
