Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care Prep and Recovery

Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Prep and Recovery unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure care for cardiac patients.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, and manage IVs and medications.
• Support conscious sedation according to protocol.
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring safety and infection control.
• Educate patients and families clearly about procedures and care.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary team members.
• Document all care in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Contribute to quality improvement, evidence‑based practice, and ongoing learning.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols.
• Commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.
