About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, effective, and patient-centered care using the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability for assigned patients on a medical/telemetry floor with a focus on cardiac patients. Responsibilities include managing post-op cardiac surgeries, interventions, and monitoring patients with varying acuity levels, including those with chest tubes and cardiac drips.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate care effectiveness and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
- Manage a diverse patient population, including cardiac and telemetry patients.
- Administer care, evaluate treatment outcomes, and ensure adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of nursing school (associate's, diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license.
- BLS certification (ACLS, PALS, or other certifications may be required based on department needs).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform duties requiring bending and reaching.
