About the role

Regions Hospital is seeking an exceptional, patient-focused Registered Nurse to join the Burn Unit. The Burn Center is Minnesota's first verified Burn Center with 18 beds, including 8 critical care and 10 non-critical beds. The unit cares for patients with thermal, electrical, radiation, and chemical injuries, as well as frostbite, limb reattachments, necrotizing soft tissue infections, and other acute dermatological conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients with thermal, electrical, radiation, and chemical injuries, as well as frostbite, limb reattachments, necrotizing soft tissue infections, and other acute dermatological conditions.
  • Operate all critical care and hemodynamic monitor equipment.
  • Provide patient and family-centered care with an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient’s bedside.
  • Manage clinical practice and working environment through the Shared Governance Model, focusing on evidence-based nursing practice.
  • Participate in the Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program, a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience.
  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
  • CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred and generally expected to be obtained within 5 years of hire.
  • One year of acute care RN experience preferred.

  • Strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Pay

Competitive pay based on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

0.75 Nights. All 12 hour shifts. Every 3rd weekend rotation.
