Registered Nurse - Burn Center

Role Summary

Provide specialized nursing care in a Level One Burn Intensive Care Unit, caring for adult and pediatric patients with severe burns, frostbite, and necrotizing tissue disease.

Responsibilities

• Manage hemodynamic instabilities, perform sterile dressing changes, and ensure infection prevention.
• Deliver complex wound care and manage surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, and CRRT.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PCNAs, interns, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists.
• Utilize advanced technology such as patient lifts, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring.

Qualifications & Skills

RN licensure in Ohio and graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Certifications: BLS (within 90 days), ACLS, and PALS (within 6 months); PRN requires 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred: BSN and professional certification recognized by Magnet.
