Registered Nurse - Burn Center

Role Overview

This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Burn Intensive Care Unit, caring for adult and pediatric patients with severe burns, frostbite, and necrotizing tissue disease.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with hemodynamic instabilities, perform sterile dressing changes, and implement infection prevention protocols.
• Provide complex wound care and oversee the management of surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including nursing assistants, interns, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists.

Unit Details

Features 8 inpatient beds and outpatient services, with advanced technology supporting patient care. Recognized as a verified adult and pediatric burn center in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold current Ohio RN licensure.
• Maintain BLS certification; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires at least 1 year of relevant RN experience and all certifications at hire.

Preferred Skills

• BSN degree and professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
