About Thompson
Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight, care, education, and guidance to the youth in your care.
- Administer medication oversight and maintain medical file record keeping.
- Respond to client medical needs and work directly with the psychiatrist to provide professional nursing care.
- Performance will be measured by individual outcomes, achieving targets/goals, contribution to the program team/department, and alignment with the organization’s culture.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Valid RN license in North Carolina.
- Valid Driver License and ability to meet credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards for the department.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Available to work as needed on day, night, and weekend shifts (minimum of 2 shifts per month).

Pay
Starting pay range: $35.00–$38.00 hourly.
