About the role
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the Behavioral Health department, adhering to state and specialty scope and standards. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN serves as a patient and family advocate, aligning with the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient condition during admission and each shift as scheduled or needed, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates patient needs proactively.
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
- Serves as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to manage continuation of care for specialized patient groups.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
