About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health Geriatric, providing compassionate, age‑specific psychiatric nursing care in an acute inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized treatment for adults aged 55 + with mental health, emotional, or behavioral disorders, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Educate patients and families on coping strategies.
- Promote recovery and overall well‑being.
Key duties
- Provide professional psychiatric nursing care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Support patients through individualized, family‑centered approaches.
- Commit to high‑quality, compassionate care in a supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure within 90 days of graduation or an active RN license.
- BLS certification upon hire.
Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred qualifications
- At least one year of inpatient psychiatric experience.
