Responsibilities
- Utilizes specialized plan-of-care intervention and serves as a patient-care innovator.
- Serves as a patient-care innovator, shaping exceptional patient journeys every day.
- Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains thorough documentation of patient condition, communicating with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Affords assistance with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
- Assesses learning needs and delivers age- and culture-appropriate patient and family education.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current state RN license.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 14 days of hire.
- Requires one year of nursing experience.
