Registered Nurse

About the role

This position is eligible for a $8,000 recruitment bonus. Current state employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional nursing tasks in a clinical role in the management of the nursing care of clients in a correctional facility.
• Must be a registered nurse with a current State of Iowa license.
• Must be certified in CPR.
• Must be able to triage, adapt to changing environments, and have professional communication skills.
• Must be a role model.

Requirements

• Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
• Compact license holders are required to obtain an Iowa license within 60 days.

Qualifications

A background in mental health would be a benefit, but is not required.
