Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will perform direct patient care for developmentally disabled residents. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, administering and evaluating individual care for residents.

Qualifications

To be considered, applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Wisconsin. Eligible is defined as you currently hold licensure in another state and are eligible to obtain a license in the state of Wisconsin. Must be licensed in Wisconsin by time of the appointment.
  • Knowledge of current general nursing theory, nursing process and nursing standards.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and occasional overtime or extra hours.

Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:

  • Experience applying nursing techniques to meet the needs of the developmentally disabled patient population.
  • Experience participating as a member of an interdisciplinary team (e.g. CNAs, LPNs, other RNs, etc.).
  • Experience providing effective direction and overseeing the work of other members of the nursing team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written methods.
