Responsibilities
- Demonstrates ability to perform all essential job functions of Registered Nurse.
- Planner, director, and coordinator of unit work flow.
- Maintains confidentiality and promotes hospital values.
- Works effectively in a team environment, coordinating work flow with other team members.
- Complies with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with CMS, OSHA.
- Coordinates patient care and transfers.
- Communicates with physicians, families, community agencies, social services, home care, and other disciplines.
- Facilitates resolution of physician/family concerns and reports to management as necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
- Current license to practice in the state of South Dakota.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
- Minimum one year nursing experience required prior to charge nurse role.
