Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform all essential job functions of Registered Nurse.
• Planner, director, and coordinator of unit work flow.
• Maintains confidentiality and promotes hospital values.
• Works effectively in a team environment, coordinating work flow with other team members.
• Complies with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with CMS, OSHA.
• Coordinates patient care and transfers.
• Communicates with physicians, families, community agencies, social services, home care, and other disciplines.
• Facilitates resolution of physician/family concerns and reports to management as necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice in the state of South Dakota.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Minimum one year nursing experience required prior to charge nurse role.
