Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
• Provide individualized care by conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing tailored care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and case managers, to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families on the nature of mental health disorders, the disease of addiction and the need for treatment.
• Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate, confidential documentation.
• Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.

Requirements

• An active RN license in [state]
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or 5 years of supervisory experience
• Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it during orientation
• Strong clinical judgment and the capacity to safely administer medications
• Proficiency in effectively managing medical and behavioral health emergencies such as suicide ideation and aggression
• Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders and DSM criteria and terminology
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to compassionate patient care
