About the role
This position is for weekends only. Work hours are Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Responsibilities
- Assess client health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.
- Advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
- Consults and coordinates with health care team members to access, plan, implement, and evaluate client care plans.
- Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records.
- Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
- Observes nurses and visits clients to ensure that proper nursing care is provided.
- Prepares clients for and assists with exams and treatments.
- Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock on supplies is maintained.
- Provides health care, first aid, immunizations, and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation.
- Administers prescribed medications or starts intravenous fluids, and notes times and amounts on clients' charts.
- Provides education to client and family.
Qualifications
- A Current Georgia License to practice as a registered professional nurse is required.
- (Physical) No lifting of more than 20 pounds.
Equipment
- BL00DBORNE PATHOGEN CATEGORY: Category III (Employee performs assigned tasks which involves no exposure to blood or other potentially infectious material AND performance of category I tasks are not a condition of employment).
- MANDATORY TRAINING CATEGORY: Medical (Performance Improvement).
