About the role

Joining AdventHealth is about extending the healing ministry of Christ. This role involves comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, educating patients and families, collaborating with medical staff, maintaining accurate documentation, evaluating care plans, and responding to code situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication
• Supervise and delegate care provided by members of the healthcare team
• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in performance improvement activities
• Respond to code situations promptly and effectively

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing [Preferred]
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work as a team player
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Abstract reasoning skills

Skills

• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)
• Fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Additional certifications such as CCNS, NEONATAL MED, PEARS, RDMS-OBGYN, NVCIP, TNCC, ABLS, CCRN-E, CLC, ONS, ABP, SCRN, GERO-BC, and others [Preferred]

Qualifications

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
• Licenses and certifications required: Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS), and additional certifications as listed above [Required]
