Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort to residents.
• Perform professional assessments and document residents' health.
• Manage assigned nursing units staff and provide care assignments, routine skills, and procedures.
• Develop and implement resident care plans, maintain up-to-date care plans, and document progress.
• Make daily and periodic visits to observe residents for symptoms, reactions to medication, or treatment.
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, weights, diet supplements and replacements, cultures, etc.
• Assist with the orientation and ongoing training of staff to maintain required skill levels.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a valid RN or LPN license in good standing according to state and federal requirements.
• A thorough understanding of safe and effective nursing practices in the State of Indiana.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
• A passion for caring for people and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Knowledge of personal computers, Word, Excel, and office machines like fax and copiers.
