About the role

The Staff Registered Professional Nurse III (Staff RN III) at Northside Hospital is responsible for managing the care of an assigned group of patients according to the hospital's philosophy and policies, including the Northside Nursing Collaborative Care Model. This position requires a minimum of two years of full-time experience as a registered professional nurse and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, an Associate Degree (AD) or a Diploma in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Manages care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the Northside Nursing Collaborative Care Model.
• Utilizes the five domains of clinical practice: Clinical Knowledge and Practice, Professional Practice, Leadership, Professional Development, and Evidence-Based Practice, Quality and Research.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Georgia, in good standing and without limitations.
• Minimum of two years (2) years full-time experience as a registered professional nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, Associate Degree (AD) or Diploma in Nursing.
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) preferred.
• One (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Family Centered Care/Maternal Infant Unit/Neonatal Intensive Care unit preferred.
• Additional life support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units preferred.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
