Schedule

Full-time, 6:30 am–2:30 pm. Location: Leland Surgery Center, Leland, NC. Department: Leland Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients as they come in
• Administer pre-op medication
• Perioperative teaching then post op recoveries
• Advocate for patients and ensure a smooth pre/post experience

Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred). Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: One year of ASC, PACU, or operating room experience (preferred).
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state (required); ACLS and PALS (preferred).

Skills

• Thorough understanding of the RN role and ability to carry out functions per the relevant state nurse practice act
• Ability to set priorities and organize workload of the unit
• Knowledge and skills to modify care according to patient’s age
• Ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s age-specific care requirements
• Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills
