About the role
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of OB/GYN at BIDMC is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with gynecologic cancers, working closely with surgeons and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities
- Reviews new patient referrals and prepares pre- and post-operative patient education materials.
- Takes and follows up on patient calls for urgent issues.
- Attends to patients during clinic visits, performing tasks such as staple removals, voiding trials, wound checks, and injections.
- Collaborates with the surgical team and administrative staff to manage patient follow-up and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- At least 1-3 years of relevant RN experience in gynecologic or general surgery, oncology, and/or women's health.
- Excellent clinical judgment and strong organizational skills.
- A positive team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate.
