About the Role
Our Pediatric Ambulatory Float pool offers a unique opportunity to expand your pediatric knowledge, caring for patients across a variety of outpatient settings. Each shift brings variety and opportunities to work with new colleagues, and to further develop and learn new skills.
Responsibilities
- Providing competent nursing care to patients and their families in a variety of outpatient settings including Otolaryngology, Adolescent, Pulmonary, Children’s Hospital Primary Care/Urgent Care, Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Neurology, and Epilepsy, among others.
- Partnering with multidisciplinary staff to manage clinic patient flow and patient care needs during clinic visits.
- Triaging and managing phone calls; coordinating care for patients.
- Communicating with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Educating patients and families.
- Opportunities to float to satellite locations: Waltham and Weymouth.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Qualifications
- 1 year of outpatient pediatric RN experience.
- BCH experience preferred.
- Experience in various clinical settings preferred.
Schedule
32 or 40 hours available. Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, varying hours.
Pay
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. An additional $8/hour incentive is provided for all clinical hours worked.
