Contingent, non-benefitted position.
Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (depending on office hours)
- Typical schedule: 36 hours per 6-week period
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care
- Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching
- Effectively communicates with the healthcare team
- Demonstrates clinical competence
- May require a professional certification that is a regulatory requirement in Michigan or a documented community standard for the position
- Works independently and collaborates with principal investigator when appropriate
- Travel to different Primary Care locations within the Jackson area
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation
- Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel
- Preferred experience in the specialty
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
Qualifications
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy
- Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in Michigan or a documented community standard (e.g., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN))
