Registered Nurse- Ambulatory Family Medicine – Contingent –Jackson

Contingent, non-benefitted position.

Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (depending on office hours)
• Typical schedule: 36 hours per 6-week period
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care
• Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching
• Effectively communicates with the healthcare team
• Demonstrates clinical competence
• May require a professional certification that is a regulatory requirement in Michigan or a documented community standard for the position
• Works independently and collaborates with principal investigator when appropriate
• Travel to different Primary Care locations within the Jackson area

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation
• Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel
• Preferred experience in the specialty
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy
• Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in Michigan or a documented community standard (e.g., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN))
