REGISTERED NURSE: Ambulatory Care Services (Pediatric Infusion)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to organize and manage multiple interventions simultaneously.
• Show excellent computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft software applications.
• Complete 12 Hematology/Oncology CEUs annually or maintain professional certification in oncology (CPHON, OCN, BMTCN, Infusion Nurse Certification, etc.).
• Participate in developing department goals and objectives by attending staff meetings and in-service programs, attending appropriate continuing education opportunities and staff development programs, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to support the implementation of change.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills using the nursing process, excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to set priorities.
• Demonstrate customer service, interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to build respectful relationships between units and individuals.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• A current license in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• At least one (1) year in the last five (5) years of intensive care unit experience, emergency room experience, or as a Registered Nurse in an infusion setting.
• At least one (1) year of pediatric experience in the last 5 years.
• One (1) year in the last five (5) years demonstrated proficiency with documentation in an electronic health record, e.g., Epic as indicated by interviews, references, and or performance evaluation.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as evidenced by resume, annual evaluations, and references.
