Registered Nurse Ambulatory Care - PRN

About the role

Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA is seeking an Ambulatory Care (Outpatient) Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. The position is under the general supervision of the Unit Director and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation) in caring for patients.
• Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

Qualifications

• Education/License/Certification: Graduate of state approved RN School of nursing. Current license as a RN in the State of Louisiana.
• Training & Experience/Job Knowledge: Previous experience preferred, but not required. Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles. Basic knowledge of biology and chemistry. Thorough knowledge of nursing procedures. Ability to supervise and direct other team members in an effective manner.
