Registered Nurse - Advanced Acute Care Orthopedic Telemetry Unit

About the role

The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. They assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

The role involves working in private or semi-private rooms with a diverse patient population, primarily orthopedic and surgical patients. The organization emphasizes a culture of excellence, safety, learning, and innovation, with a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments and formulating individualized care plans
• Delivering direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to resolve patient needs
• Evaluating and adjusting interventions based on patient responses
• Participating in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice
• Engaging in patient and family education, discharge planning, and promoting a positive care experience

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Ability to perform assessments and coordinate care effectively
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and compassionate care

Schedule

Every other weekend and holiday required. Shift hours: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.
