Registered Nurse - Adult Outpatient part time

About the role

Our Behavioral Health Outpatient Nurses are members of the Adult Outpatient Ambulatory Team whose duties require advanced knowledge of mental health and its effects. Manages and provides client care activities for a group of persons served and their families through independent judgement, communication and collaboration with all team members and establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other Ambulatory Team health care providers, persons served and their significant others to achieve desired outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

Responsibilities

• Champion duties using Pittsburgh Mercy's philosophy, policies, procedures and goals.

Requirements

• RN with one year nursing experience required
• Current RN License from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required

Qualifications

• Pre-Employment Drug Screen
• Child Protective Services Law training certificate every two years
• Act 33/34/73 Clearances – renewal every 5 years at employee expense

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of mental health
• Independent judgement and communication skills
• Collaborative relationships with physicians and other Ambulatory Team health care providers
• Ability to manage medication care services
