About the role

We are seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care for Oncology patients. Join us as part of the nation’s largest private employer of Registered Nurses, committed to supporting safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice through the nursing process and nursing diagnosis.
  • Administer medications as ordered for a specific group of patients and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications.
  • Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients.
  • Assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities, considering the complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
  • Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient education and keep the patient informed of the treatment plan.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required within 6 months of hire, transfer, or currently in position.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred.
