About the role
This role is for a registered nurse providing professional and nonprofessional care in a hospital emergency room setting, primarily during night shifts with weekend and holiday commitments.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care based on physician orders
- Utilizing evidence-based practices
- Developing individualized care and discharge plans
- Supervising lower-level staff
- Managing processes
- Contributing to performance improvement initiatives
- Providing patient and family education
- Promoting patient rights
- Supporting staff development through precepting and professional growth activities
Requirements
- Massachusetts RN licensure
- BLS certification
- Department-specific credentials
Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Strong clinical judgment
- Ability to evaluate and adapt care plans
- Physical demands: lifting, prolonged standing, and exposure to infectious materials
Pay
$37.50 to $68.47 per hour
