Registered Nurse - Acute Care Telemetry Unit

About the role

Provides comprehensive inpatient nursing care, assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating treatment effectiveness. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs, and ensures optimal patient and family experiences. Promotes safety, quality, and safety initiatives while maintaining compliance with policies and standards. This role involves working in a clinical environment with all private rooms, managing a broad spectrum of acute and complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessments and formulates care plans aligned with scope of practice.
• Delivers direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
• Coordinates discharge planning and patient education with family and team members.
• Monitors and adjusts interventions based on patient responses.
• Collaborates proactively with physicians and healthcare staff to resolve patient needs.
• Participates in evidence-based practice discussions and quality improvement activities.
• Contributes to a safe and supportive environment, actively engaging in safety programs and metrics.

Qualifications

Graduate from a specialty nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
