Registered Nurse - Acute Care Telemetry Unit

About the role

Provides comprehensive inpatient nursing care, assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role involves working in a clinical environment with responsibilities including patient safety, quality improvement, and participating in staff and organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments within scope of practice and standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Develop, coordinate, and revise care plans including patient education, discharge planning, and family support.
• Deliver direct care such as treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures according to policies.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate proactively with physicians and healthcare team members to resolve patient needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in evidence-based practice decisions.
• Contribute to unit safety, quality improvement, and patient satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a specialty nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Schedule

The position requires shift work, including every other weekend and holiday coverage.
