Registered Nurse - Acute Care, Operating Room, FT, Variable

Role Overview: Provides clinical leadership and direct patient care in an acute inpatient setting within the Operating Room. Ensures patient safety, quality care, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, including TJC, SC DPH, and CMS. Key Responsibilities Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments, recognizes patient status changes, and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.Implements and updates care plans, sets measurable goals for discharge, and ensures continuity of care through appropriate referrals and discharge planning.Performs direct patient care, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors quality and safety standards.Utilizes performance indicators and participates in quality improvement initiatives, including audits and evaluations of care effectiveness.Educates patients and families, assessing learning needs, and facilitating understanding using clear communication and teaching strategies.Maintains professional licensure, completes mandatory education, and reflects on practice to ensure ongoing competency.Serves as an advocate and coordinator of care, collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.Minimum of one year RN experience or equivalent through residency or LPN experience.Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or the state of practice.Ability to perform within the scope of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.Strong knowledge of safety protocols, quality standards, and evidence-based nursing practices. Additional Details: The role may require work on weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. No management responsibilities are associated with this position.
